Joshua is an undergraduate student from Singapore, studying for his BSc in Marine Biology and Conservation Biology. His strong interest in marine life, particularly manta rays, was sparked during childhood visits to aquaria. This early fascination grew into a passion that led him to explore marine environments around the world.

At UWA, Joshua has gained valuable knowledge in conservation practices and wildlife handling, which he hopes to apply in marine settings. He also took a fisheries unit taught by Professor Dirk Zeller which led to him volunteering with the Sea Around Us – Indian Ocean. Joshua assists with catch reconstruction update projects for Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands within Australian waters.
